Nostalgia, watching old games.
October 13, 2020 at 1:48 pm
For the sport fans, I don't care, baseball, golf, college football, pro football, NHL.
Post your favorite clips of a "WTF" moment, where nobody expected it to happen, win or lose.

Jonah Lomu against most of Tonga in 2000. Generally considered one of the most improbable tries in rugby:

Jonah Lomu was (RIP) very special indeed....comparable to Usain Bolt I think.

Very few like him and no mistake. Champion, in ever sense of the word.

50 gut, counter tray follow the blocker.

I was just watching the rerun of Super Bowl 22. And Gibbs and our running back pulled the same famous draw play that lead Washington to find a lane and score.
@ one hour and 21 minutes, in the now recorded Super Bowl 22, a guy named Timmy Smith had a respective come from behind running back touchdown run for the Washington Team every Washington fan remembers John Riggins for.
Here is the full game. But 1 hour and 21 and 21 minutes into it, when it looked like Washington was going to lose, they pulled a John Riggins, by the name of Timmy Smith.
At time stamp 1:21:23 Into the game, late in the half, you are looking at basically the same John Riggins play that won the game against the Dolphins.

This would have fit just fine in your Nostalgia thread. But, as usual, you have to make a new thread for everything.

Would have fit even better in the ‘Random Thoughts’ thread. Like all of Brian’s threads.

Would you like more ABBA?
Not the point. No one’s saying you can post about American football, but why make a second thread when this would have fit right in with your last one?

edit: Fixed it.

I'm super nostalgic about this game. It was one of my favorite sports games ever! The fights were raucous!
