If someone doesn't believe in your god, they have no reason to believe that your god wrote or inspired anything, either. Personally, I am unconvinced by the Bible. I see it as mythology, and not particularly entertaining mythology either.
Therefore, regarding threats of hellfire, I put 100% responsibility on the person uttering the threat. That's you, Mercyvessel. You don't get to decide whether it's a threat or not; that's for the recipient to decide.
Technically either a threat exists or it does not, no matter how anyone feels about it. Objectively there are only two positions on a proposition p or !p. We should trust the evidence, and in the case of Mercy's claim, we have none.
