"Jeopardy" fans boycott the show because they don't want an asshole like Dr. Oz to host it
Quote:Dr. Oz, who began his TV career on The Oprah Winfrey Show and later got his own series, The Dr. Oz Show, has become infamous for promoting unproven medical claims and methods. Recently, he made headlines for telling Fox News that schools should reopen during the early stages of pandemic. Dr. Oz, who also teaches at Columbia University, was also the subject of a 2014 letter from the school’s faculty asking him to be removed for his “”disdain for science and for evidence-based medicine,” per The Ringer.
His controversial past and questionable science didn’t sit well with fans, who lashed out at the show for choosing the notorious doctor to guest host a series based entirely on facts.
Former Jeopardy contestants chimed in too, including Kristin Sausville, Louis Virtel, and Sam Deutch. “I’m adding my voice to the Jeopardy! contestants expressing that we are not ok with Dr. Oz being given the honor of a guest host role,” Sausville tweeted in Febraury, when Dr. Oz’s name was first added to the list of guest hosts. “Jeopardy! celebrates knowledge and facts and Dr. Oz has largely broken from that in his medical advice.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
