I repainted my new (used) car. It was a fairly simply process with some spray cans and my HVLP spray gun. As long as you do the necessary prep, use acrylics and poly is well... there's plenty of easy things to do. There was lots of how to's on tyoutube. What I learnedfrom them:
1. sand till everything is smooth prior to painting.
2. Alcohol wipe everything prior to starting.
3. Have a secure, wind and pollen free place to paint.
3.5 Use Acrylics
4. Tape well with really cheap tape (unless pin striping or doing lines) so it comes off easy
5. Do one more coat than you think you need and a minimum of 4 poly clear coats on top.
5.5 Use the same type of poly as you painted with (acrylic or if you enamel paint, then enamel)
6. Wax it after.

"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post
