RE: The implications of Obama's words at the Charleston shooting memorial.

I can only assume that this is just a thought-terminating cliche that Obama and many other Christians use to get around the fact that, well, if you’re going to assume that there’s an all-powerful and loving God, shit like Dylan Roof’s massacre shows he’s asleep at the wheel.
Either that or they think that these massacres are just a means to an end that God is moving towards, like, to use an old example I heard somewhere, the Holocaust was God’s way of getting human rights laws passed around the world. Why, yes, this is extremely fucked up, which is why I don’t think they tend to think too closely about it,
