I found the documentary to be incredibly moving at times and it brought a literal tear to my eye more than once at surviving relatives of victims recounting of the events. Near the end of the documentary there is footage of Obama, the then president, who travelled to the town to speak at the church memorial for the victims.
Here is the, by my mind, unconscionably stupid, delusional and BEYOND distasteful....he said, to rapturous applause and cries of gleeful agreement from the huge choir and crowd, of the massacre: "God works in mysterious ways!"
So Obama, and the cheering crowd, think that the massacre was God's will, and they worship and love God and so, basically, approve of the events, the massacre, the bereavement, because God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good. He then moves on to sing "Amazing Grace."
Could anything be more twisted and fucked up than the president of the USA and all the locals saying they approve of the massacre because, like everything else, it's God's will???!!!
Therein lies the ultimate proof of the shite identity and stench of Christianity, and more broadly religion in general. A ludicrous scourge to decency and abhorrent buggery of intelligence.

what a limited world view. You seem to only think good things benefit humanity.. that nothing bad could improve the human condition in a positive way if the specific incident is deemed bad. while not all bad things have a positive outcome, it is most difficult to not find a positive influence or change that comes out of hardship/bad things. our whole space program was fast tracked by 100++ years in WWII. we went from a flightless society to LEO in less than 50 years. no to mention advances in medicine, genetics, even air travel/jet engines were all positive things that came out of something like WWII. Just because we are maybe too close to see any positives that come from this travesty doesn't mean there aren't any. The one thing i've seen is how that primarily black congregation took in and reached out to that troubled boy. and despite his hate for God and God's people some of the victims have openly and on record forgiven this kid, setting the pace and examples as how we as a nation need to be ready to turn the other cheek if we are to heal this nation of this media drive race conflict.
that said i do you see your out rage, when a black man tried to shoot up a white church.
