I think Biker's claim hinges on the assumption that, with less people, we'd have less need to do all the shit that leads to all these greenhouse gases. But, frankly, as much as I hate being around people and sometimes find myself thinking that maybe Thanos had the right idea, at best, it's just part of the problem. The countries that emit the most greenhouse gases are also the ones with the lowest birth rates. And we hoard resources like there's no tomorrow, and, in fairness, there may as well not be much of a tomorrow for the human race. And, frankly, the assumption that the big forces who are actually doing most of the greenhouse gas emissions will, say, half their carbon footprint once the population is halved, I don't really see that happening.
