No, I asked for both. Go back and read my original post. I was looking for the overlap between where  BJ did his residency, and the city/town that made up the partial title of my favorite song.

But can anyone guess which one of the M.A.S.H. doctors late in the comedy  series, as the script goes, had a medical residency in the states, prior to his "orders", as the script goes,  which holds the same song city/town name, as part of the song title of my all time favorite song. And no, it is not ABBA. And trust me, the song and band I am referring to had only that one hit.

You asked for the name of the character. You didn’t ask for the city, the band, or the song. So, ‘BJ Hunnicutt’ is the correct answer.

No matter, since everything you imagine you asked has been answered.

Take all my posts in context, instead of cherry picking. I asked for BOTH the Character  BJ and the SONG that the city name had in common without implying that there was any connection between the band or show.

TRUTH, Diesel had a "One hit wonder" called "Sausalito Summernight", TRUTH, The character of MASH called "BJ" did his residency in Sausalito as the script goes.

Nobody answered "Sausalito Summernight" until I made it obvious.
