He’s out of jail, but it’s not because they’ve proven that the 60-plus women who’ve accused Cosby of sexual assault are any less credible; it’s because the prosecution dropped the ball and used something that, as damning as it was, should not have been included in the trial. Frankly, given his advanced age, it’s a wonder he even got a trial at all (what with statute of limitations being a thing.) Hollywood has rightly burned its bridges with him, his name has become synonymous with sexual predation, and if the claims that he’s blind and infirm are accurate, he couldn’t do anything to make a comeback even if he (or anybody else with the possible exception of Phyllicia Rashad) wanted to. And, frankly, if we’re not going to put him in jail, that position I just described is probably where he should be.
He's doing an international comedy tour in the US, Canada, and the UK. Also making a docuseries, and writing a book. Apparently Cosby is excited that "the world is welcoming him back." Then you have the OJ effect where people in his community are still going to support Cosby to a large degree, with a big name like Judge Joe Brown recently saying that Bill Cosby is confirmed innocent now. Yes, he seriously said that.
