World without religion would just be replaced with Authoritartian socialism

Thats what the void would fill. It would influence the government and stateist level. Honestly cultural Christians or Muslims is fine. The problem is the devotion culture such as Catholicism or Sunni Islam, since devotion cultures is about devotion and it limits people to find answers in different things. So getting that on governmental level is bad. Just as if Atheism took over they would simply let Authoritarian socialism replace it. So competition is needed, which is also why religion is needed just like criticism of it is needed. But work culture that Protestants or Secularists made is what has made governments work the way it is today
Otherwise you would just rely on state authoritarian mentality of enemy view points. Just like ancient rome and such. Basically anyone who goes against the state is the enemy, so it wouldnt be utopia it would just be oppression.
Other than that, i made a new cult. God of Obvious Good and Evil, the idea is to promote obvious good and avoid obvious evil, only added rule is cannibalism is illegal in all circumstances. Since atheists online try to argue that its ok to eat human cannibalistic roadkill. So thats one problem solved.
But believing in a spirit of will and conformity of a cultural root value is helpful to make stuff happen. Otherwise you will just lie in a coach and blame everything bad in USA on religion, and not the flawed two party system where lobbyists and centralized voting sells people out. And rather try not voting for a totalitarian socialist change, or rather go with social democrats, left wingers or right wing... depending what you feel is needed? 3rd party is either case derogatory for parties. But two party system does seem to be the problem in USA. And often atheists there blame it on religious people or just inbred people from south to feel better about themselves and the lack to do research for whatever reason
