I think I know JavaScript quite a bit better, but I do not know the details that are required to get a job. That's a problem then. There are lots of WYSIWYG platforms available if you aren't into learning the code, but you seem to be a developer so I would expect you to enjoy learning both HTML and CSS deeply. Get to work!
Quote:What is that? Never heard of that. Like whom? You've never heard of creative writing, or a creative writing class? Use the Internet. Creative writing usually constitutes fiction, but it's a very wide genre. Some good examples? You're kidding, right? You seriously don't know of any good writers to learn from? You are writing too much code.
Quote:Well, that would be a lot of effort. Anyway, which would you recommend me?Uh, yeah. Getting good at anything takes a lot of effort. The first book I ever read on creative writing is Creating Short Fiction by Damon Knight. Orson Scott Card has written at least 3 different books. Stephen King wrote On Writing. Anne Lamont wrote Bird by bird. There are probably thousands of others. You can pick and choose the type of lessons you want to learn and target books on those subjects.
Quote:I have this perception that the study of what constitutes a good writing is full of pseudoscience, but I could be wrong.Yeah, you are definitely wrong. What gave you that idea? It's a skill, like anything else. And why did you put that "a" in that sentence?
Quote:It is demostrably right. Computers can generate tweets about global warming denial that many people would claim are plausible. You misspelled "demonstrably". And this statement does not, in any way, demonstrate how you are right, nor does it adequately relate to my comment that your assertion isn't quite right. Maybe this is some part of the problem here. You appear to have a decent grasp on English, yet what you say often makes little or no sense. It's either a language barrier or your thinking process needs some work. Not sure which.
I'm not going to go point by point on all of this. Do some research. Read some books. I don't care if it takes time; learning takes time. You have the right idea but you don't have the full story and it's not my job to educate you. I don't mean to sound evasive because I'm plenty willing to discuss/debate specific topics regarding pseudoscience, but I feel like you are missing something more comprehensive and I don't have time for that. There's literally hundreds of places you can get better informed and most are free. Use them. Start with The Skeptics Guide to the Universe. Look it up.
The rest of your post got so convoluted that I can't and don't want to try and make sense of it. In fact, this entire post of yours is quite painful to read/respond to. You chopped up a lot of ideas into almost meaningless sized chunks and expect something meaningful back. That's not good. This is largely the same thing that's wrong with your website. You can, if you like, approach responding to posts as a sort of micro study in creative writing. Also you seem to be asking me what is or isn't taught in school when we are 5000 miles apart. That's not a writing mistake, that's a thinking mistake.

That’s what tech support always suggests. Excuse me for trying to help.

OMG, he took you seriously! Definitely a language/cultural barrier here.
Why is it so?
