Several members have spoken about their Apple/other experiences, so I thought I would offer mine. I have used both Apple products and Microsoft compatible products, Android for phones. I've found Apple to be less prone to hardware problems and software bugs but of course more expensive. Android phones tend to adopt new features more quickly, but often need more time to work out bugs. Apple phones have a better qualifying system for apps so you don't get buggy apps or apps that are outright scams. I mostly stopped using Apple products due to the tendency of Apple to integrate their products to tightly. If you use an Apple phone, computer, ipad, watch...so on, you will have a much better experience than if you just use one of their products and try to integrate it with other brands. I got really frustrated with trying to update my iphone using iTunes on a Dell laptop. This created lots of issues.
Another Apple feature that really annoyed me was iCloud. Having 5 family members all on one iCloud account was a nightmare and we've since separated them, but my way of getting out of this hell was to jump ship to a Samsung phone.
My overall assessment of all devices is meh. I feel that Apple offers some better features and so do other brands, but I'm underwhelmed with the overall experience. We still have to replace phones and computers way too often. OS's become sluggish and eventually unusable and all of our devices are way too insecure. I feel that all device companies are pushing product first, quality second and security last and I frankly don't get excited over any new device that hits the market.

Why is it so?
