Wow on you getting your Master Scuba Certification! How awesome! I'm certified in Scuba diving and did my check out dives down in Belize which was awesome... huge coral reefs! Though last time I tried to dive in St. Maarten, I had a little panic attack and couldn't do it. 
I also have this huge fear of drowning so hopefully next time, I'll be able to dive.
I have never bought into the idea that you even need a meaning to your life. Just try to be the best person you can to those around you (if they are worthy of that, tell the others to fuck off and leave you alone) and be happy and content with what you have each day. I mean, it's good to contribute something to society versus being a drain on it but really, to me, it's just about being satisfied.
