From your perspective, how does a conviction of Rittenhouse advance the state of race relations in America?

Who? Me? Not sure.

And surely something depends on which charges he is convicted of--and what the sentence is.

If he gets off scott free, then it looks like one more example of how violent armed white men are allowed much more leeway than black men, even unarmed ones. 

Unless that creates more impetus to revise existing open carry and self defense laws, then it will not advance race relations in the U.S.

--at least not in a progressive direction.
