She never said anything about being FOLLOWED by the police, she said the police simply DROVE BY.

So police driving past you is considered harassment now? Then there's this post...

The police are not harassing me, rather, certain bigots are using the police (who are just doing their job) to harass me by filing false reports. Walking on a public street in the middle of the day is not a crime nor suspicious, regardless of pants, shorts or skirt.

I am not sure if he was there to protect me or he thought that I was going to do some petty theft, or whatever. This might seem like a familiar scenario, and if not to you, then probably some of your friends and family have had something similar to that.
And as for the asking "what are you doing?" That can mean a lot of things depending on the context. It could be casual, like "Hey, Jehanne, whatcha doin'?" or it could be more confrontational like "What the Hell are you doing here, you T-slur?" And from the information given, I'm getting more the latter than the former.
It's odd to come out of one's home to talk to a complete stranger who is walking by; I have never done that! In any case, I felt that I was being abused, but, being a materialist, I am very tolerant towards bigots, the mentally ill, etc.
