I do find some things in the media to be too PC, like rules on Jeopardy! where contestants are not allowed to bet $69, $666, $14, $88, or $1488 during final Jeopardy. For $69, the wager is banned due to its relation to sexual innuendo. Meanwhile, No. 666 has associations with satanism within the Christian doctrine. And, some white supremacists groups have used 1488 as a racist symbol.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
