Instead of this... The obese or the morbidly obese, try this... People with obesity; people with severe obesity.
So, you can say that someone HAS obesity, but you shouldn't say they ARE obese. And you can't say morbid, because that word is related to disease and death. Morbid obesity is a death sentence and there was no good reason to get rid of the morbid label.
