I don't think I even met another atheist until I was in my mid 20's. I remember reading a book by one of my favorite authors, who has been openly atheist for decades. I sent him a letter explaining why I thought he was really a believer in god and just channeling his anger through his books. This is common thinking for theists for some reason, as demonstrated by Airhead Ahriman. At the time I didn't want to accept that an author, who's books I loved, was an atheist, so I conjured up this explanation that made some kind of sense to me.Well maybe you were right about that?
No, I'm explaining now how wrong I was. That was all in my head, made up to make me feel better. I've since read dozens more of his books and actually met the man. There's absolutely no pretense about him, so 100% of my belief was from my own imagination. That's my entire point.
Ahriman, you appear to be a "feeling" based believer. This means you base all of your beliefs and ideas on how something makes you feel, how comfortable you are with it. Your thread discussing how often you change your mind about things only supports this conclusion because you basically admit to not being interested in objective information. You are free to live this way, of course, but you are living in a sad, imaginary world. You cannot explain things outside your own head with this approach. The entire world doesn't exist within your mind and you cannot understand, much less contribute to, things that aren't something of your own desires. You can criticize people all you want, but honestly it all comes across as ignorant and childish. Basically most people here are just swatting at you like they would a gnat. Currently you have absolutely zero credibility and nothing you say is taken seriously. That's how people view trolls. If you are ok with that, then continue what you are doing.
Why is it so?
