it is important to keep in mind we humans are in fact no more evolved that slime molds or bacteria. If anything, we are less evolved than many types of bacteria by orders of magnitude because there likely have been orders of magnitude more generations since the last common ancestor between bacteria and humans, in the lineage of modern bacteria, then in our lineage.
uhhh, the percentage of you mother’s DNA in you is 50%, and yet you share almost 100.000% of the base pairs with your father.
