The fact that these Republican lawmakers who call anyone who mentions anything about LGBTQ culture to kids (or those okay with it) groomers are the same people who’ve fought tooth and nail to fight bans on child marriage makes my blood boil.
And yes, for the record, there are a total of six states with a complete ban on child marriages (at least one party under 18), the oldest such law on the books is from 2018 (younger than the iPad I’m typing this post on), even in states with tough but non-comprehensive laws are still finding ways to bring it back, and it’s literally ALWAYS the Republicans who defend them.
And, worth noting, in Tennessee, they passed a law banning under-17s from marrying in 2018, but a bill was recently introduced, largely for the purposes of creating a new way to ban gay marriage without actually banning gay marriage, that notably lacked a minimum age requirement. Of course, the bill is currently on hold and they recently had to amend it to state that both partners had to be 18 due to the lack of a minimum age making the bill go viral, but still, it was introduced and was being debated in the Tennessee legislature THIS MONTH.

And the guy who wants to fuck his own daughter
