And what studies? What were the study designs used? What methodologies were used? What type of statistical analysis was used? What were the sample sizes (n) for the studies? Were they observational only? Retrospective? Clinical trials? Did they control for confounding variables and non-modifiable risk factors like age, gender, and family history? Have you evaluated available metal-analyses on the subject? What is the scientific consensus on this subject? What are the major health organizations like the AHA and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ official positions on this subject based on the available data? Have you done any of this work?
I thought the scientific consensus that eggs cause heart disease dates way back to Nikolay Anichkov experiments with rabbits. It, as far as I know, predates the scientific consensus that saturated fat are harmful by 4 decades.
Anichkov identified the mechanistic role that cholesterol plays in the development of atherosclerosis, as I understand. What does that have to do with eggs specifically? Also, you think the scientific consensus on the nutritive value of eggs hasn’t changed in four decades? Just…stop, lol.
