It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in the next USian election. The conservative-led court has just endorsed a position with which - depending on who is doing the polling - 70%-80% of Americans disagree.

In 10 years, those who are part of right-wing culture in the anti-abortion states may actually change their minds and like the new bans.

Familiarity and peer pressure can combine to make people comfortable with oppression.

I’m not sure the Republicans can afford to wait ten years for that to happen - there’s a helluva lot of elections coming up between now and then.
