And also, as a 13 year old girl, you’d be expected to carry a baby to term regardless of circumstance, be ok to marry in some states, but certain words and books would be too much to handle.

A girl of 13 is good to carry a child to term that most likely occurred as a direct result of rape*, maybe even marry a guy old enough to be her father, but something like New Kid is too much for them to handle? Gee, the way you phrase it, it’s almost like the Republicans’ priorities are completely fucking insane.

* Note: I say “most likely” only to account for incidents where the father is of comparable age, and therefore both parties are working on comparable levels of ignorance and power.
