Not surprised. Manchin knows WV has a very anti-abortion electorate. He knows a vote for codification will hurt his 2024 bid. His favorability ratings in WV after all his recent shenanigans have gone UP majorly in the state.

It’s extremely frustrating.

And yet if he tries to run again, he'll lose very badly in the primaries. Democratic and independent voter in West Virginia have lost all trust in that traitor party member.
