It's like Henry Morris' creation books of the 1960s; no academician paid any additional to them. Probably a bad idea, as Dr. Morris pandered to the general public, and out of that pandering came numerous court cases, and the ICR, which is still around. Few researchers have the time & motivation to confront nuttiness, as such does little to build one's curriculum vitae.
