My apology was not forced; I retracted my statement calling him a borderline fascist, and I made attempts at trying to bring the discussion back to where it started. I'd have thought that would have been proof enough that I was apologetic, but bozo said he didn't think I was, so I made sure to put my apology in writing. At no point did bozo demand my apology; I offered it to him freely, and requested his in return.
The fact still remains that you made an apology, said you might have been wrong, admitted that you were partially to blame (by saying you misunderstood my posts). I said it was gracious of you to do such a thing, and instead of leaving it there, you suddenly out of the blue decide that what you said wasn't what you meant after all. You also admitted to saying it just to get me to drop the subject.
Now you're arguing about the semantics of what an apology is. It's quite simple rev, an apology is something you say when you are truly sorry about the things you've said / done. I feel sorry for what I said to bozo, so I apologised. You on the other hand, don't apparently feel sorry for saying I advocate the killing of children.
