I am just trying to understand the theological argument is all. Since i get confusing answers on this
Let me try and explain this with the concept of positive and negative. Science has taught you about positive and negative electrons, matter and antimatter, ect, the reality you exist in now is the negative version of another reality, at this moment, in this other reality there exists a version of me known as a 'theophany' that doesn't get sick, doesn't feel pain, and can't die, hence why the apostle Paul stated:
"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
'House' 'tabernacle' and 'building' are referring to the body, essentially saying that if I die here on earth, I leave this body and enter into another one, my Theophany.
Also
"The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body."
...
"The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man." - 1 Corinthians 15
Not everyone has a Theophany, as King David said, "deep calls to the deep". Women in pregnancy have "cravings", do they ever crave something that doesn't exist? Therefore if there is a 'deep' calling to the deep, then there has to be a 'deep' that exists to answer. Therefore someone who has no representation over in this other reality has nothing that connects them to the divine.
Long preamble, but I said all that to say this...
God has always had a body, he existed in his theophany when he appeared to Abraham, Moses, Joshua, and also when he appeared in the fiery furnace to shadrach meshach and abednego.
"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am"
The same way a person moves from a body existing in this negative reality into a positive one, God created another body for himself (capable of death) in the negative reality, moved from the theophany into the earthly body and was known as the man, Jesus Christ.
