In large part that's down to the profitability of food processing and employers demands on labor. The poorer we are the less likely a gym is realistic and the more likely that we dollar tree for groceries, not just because it's cheap, but because more and more that's the only retailer in range...and that comes down to the dollar store business model. Essentially, pick a place a walmart would lose money, and ell even cheaper shit.
For the opq, I doubt anyone will ever top Pollan's Rule. Eat food, not too much, mostly vegetables.
