It’s an equal symbiotic relationship. Your give them what they want, and they give you the privilege of giving them what they want.
Well...if we're seriously considering this - the idea that pets have a larger carbon footprint than cars is both true, and misleading. Pest control also has a carbon footprint. So does the "home defense" industry. These activities are not taken into account (and very little data exists to do so...even agriculturally). That's one of the many points of data I collect out here. We need a fuller accounting in order to guide public policy.
