Is there any room for special designations in regard to MTF trans athletes in particular sports resulting in double placing. ie, second place-t, second place-c? It might calm the cackles of conservatives.

That would imply a level of comfort with trans people simply existing as part of society that isn't a thing in right-wing thought anymore (at least if it ever was).

We have reached a point where mainstream right-wing ideology equates trans people existing within earshot or eyeshot of children (at the barest minimum) to child grooming, famous right-wingers are openly inciting harassment campaigns against CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS that dare to give gender-affirming care to kids (often with arguments that are... dubious at best* and in at least one case calling in a bomb threat because of it), and the top-rated cable news show in America talks about how the events like the Colorado Springs mass shooting will keep happening until trans people stop getting cared for.

Some transphobes might be fine with putting transfem atheletes into their own separate category, but that's not even close to enough to appease the larger movement.

* Like the claim that doctors are putting children under the knife for genital surgery (the youngest I've been able to find is 16, though there was a transman who did top surgery at 15.) Or grossly exaggerated claims that puberty blockers are harmful to children (they've been given to children with precocious puberty for decades with zero outcry) or given to a stupefying number of kids:
