Until you can show me a religion based on rationality instead of faith, they kind of are.

An attribute is not synonymous with the holder of that attribute.   The holder of that attribute has many other attributes,  such as intellectual duplicity,  reliance on conformity,  urge to seek influence and aggrandize itself at the expense of both peers and alternatives, etc
