This is actually kinda scary. For a state this homophobic, this transphobic, for them to start gathering info on transgender people and the trans-hate is so strong within the republican party, this could go really bad really fast.

That being said, I did a quick search for Ken Paxton and found several other news sources that are saying the same thing. Which is why I wanted to start with a more reliable, less partisan source like the Washington Post.
