Movies are not for intellectuals
it's pop culture
literature is a real art
do you agree

only the book is high culture

 Visual art predates literature so far back into our species' past that we probably continued to develop it from our previous hominid ancestors.

Simply put, we've been creating in the visual medium far longer than the written or, perhaps, even the spoken form of explresion.
