A vegetarian diet is also less likely to be too high in saturated fat and less likely to be deficient in vitamin K, although it goes without saying that it doesn't have to be (some vegetarians eat a lot of coconut-based products, which are very high in saturated fat).
Bold mine - where do you get this information? My breast cancer doctor is a researcher as well. She didn't ever mention the consumption of meat during the five years that I saw her.
