And even if we’re still wedded to the idea of gender segregated bathrooms, barring trans folk from the bathroom of their choice is still a bad idea, not even necessarily because of their effect on trans folk, but because (as I demonstrated in Post 55 of this very thread) it doesn’t even fulfill the purported purpose of making women feel less safe in their own restrooms.
