"Cats have four legs" is a true generalization. Anyone can see that a cat with only three legs is still a cat. But it is also obvious that something went wrong, like an accident, if a cat has only three legs. Such accidents do not affect the kind of thing it is. The same holds true for males and females. The primary sex difference is gamate size but there is a constellation of secondary sex difference that come out of this. Secondary sex differences are only proxy indicators of sex. Accidental changes or exceptions to the secondary sex differences in no way alter whether someone is of the male or female kind.

So, to you, sex and gender are basically down to the gametes a person can produce?

By this definition, if a man has zero sperm count*, something That roughly a percent of the cis male population (40 million by this point) has to deal with, does this make said man non-binary?

* And just for clarification, I do not mean low sperm count or low quality of sperm, I mean there’s no sperm whatsoever in the ejaculate.

What does that make me then, I had a vasectomy after the birth of second child (hell.... I want no more like that!!) so I have zero sperm count.
