A male who lacks the one thing you said literally defines a male, to the extent that you said any differences in anything else in no way alters whether or not one is male or female.

The primary sex difference is gamate size but there is a constellation of secondary sex difference that come out of this. Secondary sex differences are only proxy indicators of sex. Accidental changes or exceptions to the secondary sex differences in no way alter whether someone is of the male or female kind.
