Put another way - what's the point in trying (and possibly failing) to provide such a reason if the entity in question either needs no such reason, or is not personally limited by said reason?
I think the reason God limits Himself is so that it affords us opportunities to make the choices He has put infront of us that we have. it also in a round about way allows us other opportunities to grow and mature spiritually.. Meaning when other people choose against what God wants it creates problems obstacles and learning experiences that force those who choose to serve to mature.
It's like a good Father allowing his son to stand up to the bully on the play ground, when clearly the father has the strength and ability to obliterate the 8 year old bully, who will not let the father's son on the slide.
Again God's strength is harnessed and controlled by His will. Being all powerful here means control, not being forced to always bring all your might to bear on a situation.
