Then give all your money away and starve on the streets and you'll supposedly be at god's heavenly palace that you believe in. That would certainly be what the Gospels are instructing people to do. But no. You brag about your wealth and the comfy life you have as if you don't believe that there is this super dupper world awaiting you after you die.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas).
