Imperialism has a run at least as long as from the late neolithic or copper age to the present space and quantum electronics age.

The Islamic nation deviated from its sacred path exactly in 656 CE in the first civil war between Muslims known as Battle of the Camel.
Right there, the Islamic nation turned into another "Empire" with Imperial laws, empires risen in the Arabian Desert and other locations (like Turkey) carrying "Islam" as a mere logo; or a "brand's name", the Islamic nation wasn't the same nation that fought with Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him; but it turned into an imperial freak just like all other imperial nations until today.
Just like all imperial empires, the Islamic empire got sick and old.
All plans by imperials in the Islamic lands fell because imperials fail to get that Islam is a celestial religion that doesn't accept to be utilized and used in the schemes of politicians.
