You are very naive because there is no (one) Christianity. Even if everyone became a Christian, even more people would be cursed (unsaved) in the eyes of Christians because Christians see other Christian denominations as wicked as you see Marxists. It is not hard to see that many popular denominations in the US don't see Catholics as real Christians and even call Catholicism to be the Whore of Babylon.

Needless to say, it was always like this and Christians spent centuries slaughtering themselves in wars over who had the "right" Christianity.

So fewer the Christians the more peaceful the world will be.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
