Scrupulosity - a Catholic disorder ?

There is a phenomenon / disorder which I have only seen in Catholic circles (it must exist elsewhere also) but we see it in NX's post today about swearing/ blasphemy.
There is something about the RC neurotic legalisms which seems to appeal to a wide audience in Roman Catholicism. For example "Catholic Answers" is full of questions to the priests and other "experts" (funny I've never been banned there, but almost) and a number of us some time ago, on AD (sorry TTA) were banned at Suscipe Domine, ("dummy knee"). Anyone seen this anywhere else ? It's probably an OC Disorder.
