Nope. Let me make another argument. (1) God foretold 4000 years ago to Abraham that his descendants, those who believed in the True God as he did, would be as numerous as the sand on the seashore, or the stars in the sky, which is to say those who believed in the God of Abraham would be extremely and greatly numerous, and also widespread across all nations. (2) 4000 years later, to the astonishment of the world, this has manifestly come true already, as the World approaches 3 BN Christians. (3) Therefore, in light of this, it's reasonable to believe, only an Omniscient God could have known that at that time, and only an Omnipotent God could have brought it about. This is why the Scriptures exist btw, as an Eternal Record of these things that happened millenia ago.

Genesis 26:4: "I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed".

Almighty God, Whose Word can never fail to come to pass. Glory be to You forever and forever. In Lord Jesus Christ's Holy Name. Amen.

But that hasn't happened, and the odds that it will ever happen are so small as to not be worth considering. Estimates vary, but it seems likely that there are about 200 billion trillion stars. You're closer with the 'grains of sand', but that's still never going to happen. At any given moment, there is something like 7 quintillion grains of sand on Earth's beaches/seashores (the number jumps considerably if you add in all the sand other places).

Either of these numbers is vastly more than the number of humans, dead or alive, that have ever lived and - to a metaphysical certainty - will EVER have lived.

So, is Genesis 26:4 a failed prophecy?
