According to the Catholic Church he does NOT require "free will cooperation". (He made that up). All that is required is an honest life, according to one's conscience.

he only came to claim to be catholic by chance. he is by nature self absorbed, conceited opportunist always looking for a chance to practice upon others to get the emotional thrill and sense of self importance he gets by manipulating others through their own ignorance and gullibility.
He could be hindu, muslim or a member of some cannibal cult and he will be doing the same things in the name of those other religions or creeds.
