I read the catholic forum, and boy, while NX was the most creepy, the other people seemed to be not much less so. The amount of "i pray for...." was hilarious.I'll admit we have had some truly deranged theists but this guy makes Huggy and Dirch look like freaking Mensa members. Never on my time on this forum and the numerous theist morons who have passed through here have I encountered someone who mixes ignorance and overconfidence with a hint of pure deranged religious zeal as this freak. It's quite disturbing really that people like that exist and are not in an institution.
I think what we got here, was a religious fanatic/zealot. A seriously deluded one*. Not an extremist, necessarily. He held a lot of views that were acceptable or overlapping ours. However, his obsession with the RCC, with not only defending it but putting it on an pedestal, while condemning everybody else, first and foremost atheists, was quite pronounced, to say the least. It really opened my eyes to see how even catholics were appaled by him.
Anyone disagree? Please enlighten me.
*I came to this conclusion particularly, since he spewed the same nonsense and walls of text amongst his catholic peers. I grant him that being amongst his peers he was as honest as he could be.
