In the video the dwarves did the washing up. I seem to remember that in the book as well.

In the book, the Dwarves washed up after supper. The next morning, when Gandalf arrived, Bilbo complained that he ‘had to do the washing up for fourteen’, which was why he hadn’t dusted the mantelpiece and found the letter left by Thorin and Company.
