Why would it matter what the Bible says if you don't believe in the God of the Bible? What about Allah? Is He more credible than the Bible God? Less? Same?
It matters what the Bible says because people have a tendency to force other people to live according to what the Bible says. Pointing out the absurdities in the Bible is meant to show that this is a really stupid idea.
Your religious beliefs inform YOU as to what is right or wrong, good or bad, allowed or disallowed.They do not do the same for me.
