Just passing through for now. Atheists might like to hear of something from Our Lady of Garabandal that Catholic Prophecy refers to as "the Warning". Christine Watkins wrote a book about it recently. It's basically like a brief experience of God where He makes known to you without any doubt that He exists, which everyone will experience, and how your Soul appears at His Judgment Seat. It's just that, unlike what usually happens at death, the sinners will have a chance to repent after seeing it. This is an end times event that, as I mentioned, Catholic Prophecy calls the "Warning":
St. Padre Pio said on this: "My recommendation is this: pray and encourage others to pray, because the world is on the way to perdition. They do not believe you or our conversations with the White Lady, but they will believe when it is too late." I hope it is not too late for Atheist Friends.
Sir Francis Bacon said: “God never wrought miracle to convince atheism, because his ordinary works [suffice to] convince it. It is true, that a little philosophy inclineth man’s mind to atheism; but depth in philosophy bringeth men’s minds about to religion.”
We wouldn't say, Never. But yeah, God's ordinary works, like Fine-Tuning etc, should ideally help man/woman to believe in Him. If not, the Warning may be humanity's last chance, if people are still alive to see it. I recommend Christine Watkins' book on the subject for more. God will leave Humanity in no doubt about His Existence after that public, visible miracle occurs. It is one of His Amazing Graces to a world gone astray.
