Windows Crazy Shit

OK, it's tough enough for me to find out how to stop the minor shit with windows. I'm getting weather and sports on my screen, the one before I log in. I don't seem to be able to figure out how to get that shit off. I didn't ask for it, I guess it appeared with an update. How do I get back to a blank screen? I care not one whit for sports or weather.
