Just watched the vid. BBC makes good shit. Penrose's explanation fits with a recent though experiment I did with simple geometry, and is an enhancement to my own Pure Number hypothesis - it's cool to think my brain works like other brains. Sometimes I must wonder..
In the vid, though, it seemed clear to me that there's a subliminal and relentless bias at work driving causality and creation. As correlation does not prove causation I consider this is perhaps another demon spawned by the abyss of identity. People insist on their being, on something, and continually fear the Void which they fill with identity expanding concepts like god and string theory. I don't like either of them concepts, but what I do like about the second is that there's thinking going on.
And as for the OP; even in its height of optimism over the possibility of new physics, this vid never goes father than saying "almost mainstream;" i.e. BBT is still BBT.
